Technical SEO
Speed, crawling, indexing and structure: the foundations that let pages rank.
What is technical SEO?
Technical SEO is the work that lets search engines find, read and rank every important page on your website: speed, crawling, indexing, page structure, internal links and structured data. It doesn’t replace good content, but without it good content can sit unseen.
What problem does technical SEO solve?
A website can look finished and still be hard for Google to use. Pages load slowly on phones, important pages aren’t indexed, two versions of the same page compete with each other, or service pages sit three clicks deep with nothing linking to them.
None of this is visible to the business owner, which is why it goes unfixed. Technical SEO finds these problems, fixes the ones that matter most first, and checks that search engines pick up the changes.
What you get
A clearer, crawlable website with relevant pages and a measurable plan for improvement.
Technical SEO
What’s included
Crawl and indexing audit
We crawl the site the way search engines do and check what Google has actually indexed in Search Console.
Speed on phones
Image sizes, scripts and page weight checked on mobile, where most local searches happen.
Duplicates and canonicals
One clear version of every page, so your pages aren’t competing with themselves.
Page structure and internal links
Service pages that are easy to reach and clearly linked from the pages that matter.
Titles, descriptions and structured data
The information search results show, written for the searches you want to win.
Measurement
Search Console and analytics set up, so you can see indexing, rankings and enquiries change.
Who technical SEO suits
A good fit for
- Sites that look fine but don’t get found. The cause is often technical, not the design or the writing.
- Website rebuilds and moves. Redirects and indexing checks protect the rankings you already have.
- Sites with many service or location pages. More pages means more room for duplicates, gaps and pages nothing links to.
Probably not the right fit if
- Your site has a handful of pages and nobody searches for what you do.
- You need results this week. Technical fixes take weeks to show.
- The real problem is the content, not the code. The audit will tell you which.
How it works
How it works
- 01
Audit
Crawl the site the way search engines do and list what holds it back.
- 02
Fix what matters first
The issues with the biggest effect on visibility, in order.
- 03
Measure
Track indexing and rankings for the pages that matter.
How long do technical SEO fixes take to show?
Search engines can pick up technical fixes within weeks. Rankings that depend on content and reviews usually take two to six months. The audit is delivered within five business days, and Foundation setup, which makes the fixes, usually takes three to four weeks.
How much does technical SEO cost?
The $950 AI & Search Visibility Audit includes a technical SEO review of up to 50 pages and a prioritised fix list. Making the fixes, and ongoing monitoring, are quoted on what the audit finds.
Questions
About technical SEO
Do you need access to our website?
For the audit, no: we review the site from the outside, and through Search Console if you share access. To make fixes we need access to the site, or we work through your developer.
Can you fix a site you didn’t build?
Yes, wherever the platform allows. Most fixes, such as titles, redirects, structured data and internal links, can be made on any reasonable website platform. The audit tells you if anything needs a rebuild.
What is Google Search Console, and do I need it?
Search Console is Google’s free tool that shows which pages are indexed, which searches you appear for and any problems Google has found. Every business website should have it, and we set it up as part of Foundation setup.
Will technical SEO fix my rankings on its own?
Not always. Technical SEO removes what holds a site back, but rankings also depend on useful content, reviews and other sites mentioning you. We tell you which of those is your biggest gap.
Does site speed affect rankings?
It’s one of the signals Google uses, but its bigger effect is on people: slow pages on phones lose visitors before they read anything. We check speed on mobile, where most local searches happen.
